Following his return to Hong Kong in 2009, Greg chose to focus his work on mind-body wellness and soon begin to freelance as a personal trainer. His clients included top Asian artist Sammi Cheng Sau Man (鄭秀文). Greg is honored to be the man behind Miss Cheng’s toned “power girl” physique appeared in her 2009-11 “Love Mi” world tour. During this time, Greg also dedicated himself to the study and practice of yoga. In 2010, he became a Yoga Alliance RYT-200 teacher.
Greg has studied with numerous senior Ashtanga teachers including Nancy Gilgoff, David Swenson, Danny Paradise and Paul Dallaghan. He has also taken a 100-hour Pranayama and yoga philosophy course with Sri O. P. Tiwari.
A former university academic with a life-long interest in fitness, Greg practices and teaches yoga from a unique perspective, integrating the methodology of science with the art of yoga.
Before leaving laboratory and classroom for the mat rolled out in various shalas, Greg earned his Ph.D in Biophysics and conducted research at Oxford University in the UK, he later taught at the School of Pharmacy, University of Connecticut in the US. His professional fitness career began in 2005, when he qualified as an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Health/Fitness Specialist and served as a volunteer fitness consultant at the UCONN Recreation Center.
