Following his return to Hong Kong in 2009, Greg chose to focus his work on mind-body wellness and soon began to freelance as a personal trainer. His clients included top Asian celebrities. Greg is honored to be the man behind Miss Sammi Cheng’s toned “power girl” physique appeared in her 2009-11 “Love Mi” world tour. During this time, Greg also dedicated himself to the study and practice of yoga. In 2010, he became a Yoga Alliance RYT-200 teacher and has been teaching yoga since.
Greg has studied with numerous senior Ashtanga teachers including Nancy Gilgoff, David Swenson, Danny Paradise and Paul Dallaghan. He has also taken a 100-hour Pranayama and yoga philosophy course with Sri O. P. Tiwari.
A former university academic with a life-long interest in fitness, Greg practices and teaches yoga from a unique perspective, integrating the methodology of science with the art of yoga.
Before leaving laboratory and lecture room for the mat rolled out in various shalas, Greg earned his Ph.D in Biophysics and conducted research at Oxford University, UK. He later taught at the School of Pharmacy, University of Connecticut in the US. His professional fitness career began in 2005, when he qualified as an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C) and served as a volunteer fitness consultant at the UCONN Recreation Center.
In addition, Greg has been following Swami Abhishek Chaitanya Giri's teaching on the subjects of Yoga and Vedanta philosophies since 2015 to continue pursue the path of Jnana Yoga.
